SENIOR CHEMIST – ELISA/EIA INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE LABORATORY
Consider this special opportunity to join a high performing team of experienced consultants serving the occupational and environmental health and product safety needs of pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology companies across the country and internationally. Look at the potential for growth and diversification in an established privately-held firm. You will fill a key senior position in an analytical laboratory accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association - Lab Accreditation Program (AIHA-LAP) for analysis of industrial hygiene air and surface samples using ELISA/EIA, HPLC and LC/MS techniques for analyzing air and surface samples.
Candidate should demonstrate advanced knowledge of ELISA/EIA analytical methods, including method development and sample analysis. In addition, candidate should have excellent project organization with the ability to track and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer skills, are essential. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Development of validated analytical methods for detection of analytes to sensitive limits of detection using ELISA/EIA methods;
- Sample analyses of air and surface samples;
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop and maintain appropriate control and quality assurance procedures;
- Comply with current safety and AIHA-LAP accreditation requirements; and
- Project management.
Successful candidates for this position must have an MS/MA with a minimum of 8 years experience or a Ph.D. with five years of experience. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills and is able to work on multiple projects while balancing changing priorities and deadlines. Experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology or environmental industries is a definite advantage.
