Position Title: Chemist - Analytical Laboratory
Position Type: Exempt, shift 1, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week

Position:
The position provides technical support including analytical method development and routine analysis of pharmaceutical compounds as requested by the consulting section of SafeBridge and SafeBridge customers. The chemist will work as part of a group of experienced chemists responsible for the determination of workplace levels (airborne and surface) of pharmaceuticals and related substances. This position reports to laboratory technical manager (Vice President of Laboratory Operations).
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Quantification of airborne pharmaceutical products and related substances collected on industrial hygiene sampling media,within manufacturing and research facilities.
2. Development and application of HPLC, and RIA and ELISA methods.
3. Report writing for sample analysis and method development projects.
4. Maintenance of HPLC, RIA, ELISA, and other lab equipment.
5. Preparation of sampling media for air monitoring and surface sampling.
6. Maintenance of adequate documentation for analyses performed and quality control purposes.
7. Following the laboratory SOP and GLP procedures and accreditation requirements.
8. Following the Chemical Safety and Radiation Safety guidance and environmental regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
B.S./M.S. in Chemistry or related field with 0-5 years industrial/ academic experience.
Knowledge/ experience in instrumental and spectroscopic methods of analysis (HPLC, RIA, ELISA).
