Debbie Keys, CIH, CHMM has over 30 years of comprehensive industrial hygiene experience, with a focus on pharmaceutical research & development and manufacturing, including 20 years at Syntex/Roche. Her first role in the pharmaceutical industry was as a site industrial hygienist for Syntex where she did extensive risk assessment and risk reduction work within laboratories and manufacturing / pilot plant operations. This role later expanded to include assessments and audits of other sites, including contract manufacturers. Debbie also worked as an Industrial Hygiene Manager at Gilead Sciences. Her experience includes program development and implementation, training and collaboration with cross-functional teams to solve complex industrial hygiene challenges. She is experienced in facilitating integration of occupational toxicology information into the drug development process, improving containment design of potent compound handling facilities and implementation of management systems to improve safety compliance.
